Vinarium was established in 2009 in the village of Banoštor, which has been one of the eldest settlements in the Srem region, where the tradition of grapevine cultivation reaches as far back as to the Roman times. Embraced by the beautiful Fruška Gora Mountain, being situated on its northern slopes stretching up to the Danube riverbank, Banoštor assumes an extraordinary geographic position and possesses all prerequisites for grapevine cultivation. Our vineyards spread across an area of 22ha, and encompass 8 grapevine varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Traminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and two indigenous varieties– Župljanka and Crna Tamjanika. We are currently working on construction of our wine tasting facility and expansion of the winery capacities.
